Enzovera Sequencing Cleanup Resin (EV-SGR-008) is an ion-exchange resin for removal of dye terminators, salts, dNTPs, endotoxins, and primer fragments from Sanger sequencing reactions. The resin format eliminates the need for magnetic separation equipment, making it ideal for laboratories without dedicated magnetic plate stations or for protocols where spin-column workflows are preferred. It is compatible with spin-column and 96-well multiscreen plate formats, delivering clean sequencing product ready for direct CE injection.
Cleanup chemistry. The resin operates on an ion-exchange principle: under the binding conditions, the negatively charged contaminants (free dye terminators, dNTPs, salts, short primer fragments) are retained on the positively charged resin matrix, while the longer extension products pass through in the flow-through fraction. The result is a single-step, single-tube cleanup that simultaneously removes all major classes of CE contaminants in one pass — no separate desalting or size-exclusion step is required.
Workflow flexibility. Unlike magnetic bead cleanup methods, the resin does not require a magnet and can be deployed in any laboratory using either spin-column or multiscreen plate formats. For spin-column workflows, the resin is loaded into a standard 1.5 mL spin column, the sequencing reaction is applied, and the cleaned product is collected by brief centrifugation. For 96-well plate workflows, the resin is dispensed into a multiscreen filter plate, the reactions are applied, and the cleaned products are collected by vacuum or centrifugation into a collection plate. Total cleanup time is approximately 10–15 minutes.
Removal performance. The resin effectively removes dye terminators, salts, unincorporated dNTPs, endotoxins from upstream template preparation steps, and primer fragments — the four most common sources of CE injection artifact and baseline noise. Sequencing extension products are recovered with high yield and are ready for direct resuspension in Hi-Di Formamide (EV-SGR-011) for CE injection.
Recommended applications:
Pack size: 50 mL per bottle. Store at 2–8°C. Resin settles during storage — invert gently to resuspend before use. Do not freeze.
